FOR A PAPER IN OIL THESE PRICES ARE GREAT! I MAY BUMP THEM UP TO EXCELLENT. THESE COULD BE AN EXCELLENT GIBSON CLONE AMP CAP! FOR GUITAR I WISH THESE WERE 400 VOLT, BUT I MAY AS WELL WISH FOR A BILLION DOLLARS AND MAKE IT WORTH WHILE! I wish to compare these to 600 and 400 volt bumble bee, and black Spragues on a $5000 LCR. This LCR gives the capacitance (obviously) the ESR (equivalent series resistance, as if it was a resistor), the impedance or "Z", and thus with some simple math the "Q", as well as L, B, etc. Does this mean a cap with better numbers will sound better than another cap? Not really! Check back! Sadly ORIGINAL Sprague caps were not highly regarded by the techie radio/instrumentation crowd. They were regarded as "junk", and worse, but they were not into tonal characteristics, just how long they last, and if they go bad, so they kinda sucked in amps, or hi volt apps. I may also try the Vitamin Q, and maybe the clone bumble bees. (PRICE AND BUDGET PERMITTING) i .
