The effective thread length of the is product is less than 1/4". Not long enough to reach all the way through most guitar tops if thats how you're thinking of using this product. Also, will not work with the MK 3320-003 stacked knob set on the same page as these.

Scratchy Pots and loose knobs |

I bought this item with the intention of using it as a stacked volume pot. Mine makes scratchy noises when you apply lateral pressure on the knobs, not when they're actually turning. However, it's fairly difficult to not apply lateral pressure while using the knobs in a playing situation. I have not tried using cleaner, so this may improve things.
The kicker is that the top knob comes loose no matter how much (or little) torque is applied.
If you use these pots for volume, the volume drops off really quickly at the start of the turn, which could be very useful in volume swells or if you use your volume knob to control the amount of distortion and want a fairly drastic change in a short sweep. It is not very good for blending pickups, unless you keep volumes at mid for regular playing and maxed out for volume/overdrive boost.
