I put this on a custom made bolt neck golden era BC Rich ST-3 with an Edge trem. The Ibanez "Backstop" is the ONLY item that comes close to doing what this does and they are hard to find and pricey. They also dont work with all tremolos either. Naturally this probably won't work with a Kahler Flyer, but I never had the issues with the Flyer I have with other trems, so the Hip Shot is a neat item. The feel of the trem changes a little bit, but you get used to it pretty fast. It beats tuning stability issues! Installing it was fairly easy, and once set up it makes tuning much more stable while doing agressive string bends, as well as using the Floyd or other Floyd Licensed type tremolos, or even vintage or modern Fender tremolos. I used a Dremel with a 90 deg head & flex shaft on my install, but a long aviation style 1/8" drill bit would work just as well. The Youtube video makes the install much easier. Adjustments are fairly easy too. It is not hard tail exact, but close.
