Few OEM bridges are worth keeping once you try Leo Quan's Badass on a Fender style bass, unless you like that original P bass tone, or lack of tonal character. The larger footprint adds mass, and connectivity for the string vibration to get to the body with some tone warmth from the mass of the bridge itself. This one is particularly nice for those odd duck bass guitars that used a Fender style bridge, but need a different string spacing. My Kramer The Duke early model is a prime example. It is in the rare natural color so I am more adamant about not putting holes or marks on it from a new bridge. This is just the ticket! The Gotoh was also nice, but the spacing does not quite work with Kramer's weird 6 string std size humbucker's 4 string pole spacing. Leo Quan Badass II Squared equals problem solved. This bass is now a keeper, and my grab and go travel/studio/gig bass!
