Great tube out of the box for Fender amps! CLEAN SOUNDING! Barring buying NOS Sylvania STR tubes these are my 2nd favorite tubes. They are a hair away from the headroom of the Winged C, sound great, and last fairly well. They also cost less! The Sovtek 6L6WXT is what Mesa selects its STR tubes from, but remember they also buy in bulk based on price! I lump these, the Winged C and WXT Sovtek 6L6GC as the cream of the crop, and the JJ is in there too, but JJ did some goofy things with plate current & sharing parts with their 6L6GC and EL34, Yep! Kinda crummy! For a Vintage Fender these are great pretty much out of the box. New Sensor bought the rights to the Svetlana name and Winged C can't use it anymore. The two tubes are very close as far as sound, and quality though. New Sensor makes Sovtek, Mullard, Tungsol, and Gold Lion reissues, as well as EH all in Saratov Russia using less than 2% of that factory's production capability.
