I was brought 3 of these. I used 1 and a half, rewinding one and reversing the magnetic pole. I used these (1 as is and one RWRP) with a Filtertron on a Paul Bigsby stylized solid body reminiscent of Merle Travis' solid body custom(s). The treble is chiming and bell like. Using mahogany and maple it tempered it so it was not piercingly unpleasant. The guitar looks like a modernized Bigsby, and has a great C&W rockabilly sound! I hope these are not on closeout. I am sick of standard sized pickups that are over wound as the normal staple of what is available. This is a great departure. Think old Harmony, Airline, Silvertone, Kay, Tiesco, Premier and other budget guitars of the 60s when you use these! Their humbucking counterpart is much the same! I don't own a metal stamping machine so I do like these a lot!
