Vintage Style Bass Bridge, Nickel, "Threaded Rod Saddles", 2-1/4" String Spacing. Base footprint 3 1/8" x 1 5/8".
This is the secret to the Fender tone
Yes you can probably have better tuning stability and string spacing stability with any of the Leo Quan or Gotoh products. Those are all excellent upgrades, but they change the tone of the bass. When I did my Tele Bass build I used this. I would buy one for my Kramer ''The Duke'' I just got, but I need tracks for the saddles. The strings splay apart behind the bridge on those Steinberger copy / what ever they are headless aluminum neck oddities and they used a real oddball bridge. If you are doing VINTAGE FENDER this is the ticket. Especially P & or J bass. I wont go excellent due to maybe thinner sheet metal, and metric screws & so so plating, but this is so close to the real deal I can''t really tell. Besides Fender was famous for obtaining stuff on low bid basis anyway. Who wasn''t?Reviewed by: Seth Burgin from Phoenix, AZ United States. on 11/22/2011 9:57:00 PM
