Great item for a custom look side jack!
If you get the NFT tap that matches the 32 tpi and diameter of this they thread into the side of guitars like SGs Melodymakers etc. This allows another pot in the place of the old Jack, looks cool and they are pretty darn tough. Those curved plates used on Les Pauls are flimsy compared to these. You need to under drill the mounting hole and cut threads into the wood. You can also use them with a nut on thick panels, which was their original purpose on thick wood panels used by telco and other industries. My cheeesy 1967 Melodymaker now screams with 3 pick ups concentric pots and a 6 way rotary switch. I also used a Schaller wrap around bridge. It always played excellent, but now it has the tone too!
