I installed these into a Fender ''72 Custom Telecaster with Jason Lollar''s version of the Fender Humbuckers for this guitar. The client was unhappy with the taper of the CTS pots that were installed and wanted more subtle control of volume. I believe that the resulting taper of these pots was clearly superior for smooth volume control per rotation of the volume knob. Starting right from ''10'', the volume begins to decrease immediately and smoothly all of the way to zero. As these are a sealed pot, they should last longer in places with higher humidity and be less prone to contamination from dust when they are exposed to it. There is a ground lug, an extra nut and a star washer provided with the pot. Using a ground lug instead of soldering wires to the back of the pot may take a little thought from those who are set in their ways but I had no problem establishing a decent and tidy ground scheme with 4 pots. I will use these for my pro clients and the guitars that I build.Reviewed by: Mark Wybierala from New Jersey. on 2/8/2013
Great pots & nice fit in any ES F hole axe!
These fit so well into an ES 335, Japanese copy, ES 345.355, etc. The only small draw back is a smaller back to mount the sticky tape on to get them in the holes with a fishing/slimjim jig. They are in improvement on most pots. I used them in an Epi Elite 63 ES335 MIJ with my mods: 1980 T Top Shaw pick ups, Allparts paper/foil in oil 400 volt caps, and my own DIY Varitone Clone using an Alps 6 way 2 pole switch, orange drop polyester caps, and double .75Hy coils. Wiring in mono it is true bypass too! WOW this guitar blows away my 1970s and 80s ES 345s now, but the 60s ones still have the nicer neck. Go big or go home, and this is part goin'' of big.Reviewed by: Seth Burgin from Phoenix, AZ United States. on 8/8/2012 8:42:00 PM
