The smaller files can bind a bit. Some Burlife and a brush helps
Once you get the angle and rhythm these are not too bad. .010s wear bind more and wear out faster. I cannot say these are vastly superior to other files at Whatever Inc. I miss the old Ibanez files. These are one of those few items that are luthrie exclusive. At .020 you can buy Valorbe/Grobet or other European ''joint files'' but I have yet to see any thinner than .02''. I do not slot really deep. I have replaced the Allparts with another file. It is not a huge improvement, but it is a tad better. For $12 these files work for me. They do load up. I am used to filing fillers and other odd materials that are far worse for gunking up a file than any nut material so far. I keep a brass wire wheel brush in a dremel and another fine brass or nylon brush handy at all times when filing anything. I may try the electro polish and etching on one of these. AKA electroplating prep bath. (extended time in the acid)
