Allparts cannot warranty a neck that does not get a sealer/finish put on it, as humidity, sweat, and temperature can cause the neck to warp and twist.

This is one hell of a neck.. I was so pleased with it I put it on my US ''57 hotrod reissue body and put the fender neck in the drawer. If you like the big Nocaster neck you''re gonna love this one. The one that I received was actually Quartersawn (confirmed by 2 luthiers) the nitro was perfect and the fretwork flawless. This was my first experience with Allparts necks, and I will no longer be sending those big bucks to Warmoth.. Honest to God.

Finish is a big issue
First thing I noticed is that the finish was sprayed over the frets. So, this had to be removed carefully or it would wear and cause playability issues. By now, I'd already put about 15 hours into this job, with custom logo, new 2105 frets, etc. While customizing for a customer, I used painter's tape to mask off an area. You know, the blue or green tape that comes off easily? Well, it took a section of finish off when I removed it. This is a deal breaker. What I was charging for this labor just entered the realm of getting below minimum wage - possibly even free - to meet my estimate. I either have to spend a lot of time and try and try to match the finish in one section or buy another neck and start over - refret, logo, etc. Bottom line is, the finish on these necks are applied incorrectly and are beyond fragile. I do not recommend buying a finished neck from here. If I ever buy one again, it will be to simply fill a customer order, but I won't recommend them.
