Hardtail Jazzmaster® Kit Bridge Installation Tip

The Babicz® Full Contact Tune-O-Matic® bridge is designed to enhance the performance of your guitar by improving sustain, resonance, and overall tone. Before Installing the Babicz® Full Contact Tune-O-Matic® bridge onto you Jazzmaster® body we recommend removing the shim plate located underneath the bridge – this will allow the bridge to sit flat on the body for optimal tonal transfer and allow string height to be set correctly.

To remove the shim plate, follow these steps:

  1. Begin by loosening the strings on your Jazzmaster.
  2. Locate the shim plate underneath the bridge.
  3. Using a screwdriver or a similar tool, gently lift the shim plate to remove it from the body.
  4. Once the shim plate is removed, place the Babicz® Full Contact Tune-O-Matic® bridge onto the body.
  5. Align the bridge with the mounting holes on the body.
  6. Tighten the screws or bolts to secure the bridge in place.
  7. Re-tune your strings to the desired pitch.
