Collection: VT2 Modern vs VT2 Classic

Wondering which VT2 trem fits your Telecaster®? There’s 2 simple ways to tell which will fit properly.

1st) You can check by measuring the distance between the top pickup mount hole and the thru-body string holes on the plate. If the distance measures 71mm you’ll need a VT2 Classic. If the distance measures 66mm you’ll need a VT2 Modern

2nd) If the string-thru body holes on your Telecaster® bridge plate are BEHIND the mounting screw holes, you have a vintage-style Telecaster® bridge and will need the VT2 Classic. However, if the string-thru body holes on your Telecaster® bridge plate are INFRONT of the mounting screw holes, you have a “Modern” (commonly referred to as American Standard) Telecaster® bridge.
