Inspired by classic Fender® designs, our Allparts Select replacement bodies were created for players craving unique and lightweight instruments.  Offering enhanced resonance and accentuated woodgrain, our 2-piece roasted Sugar Pine bodies are significantly lighter and more durable than non-roasted Pine bodies.  Our "featherweight" models reduce weight even further by sandwiching a roasted Paulownia core between a roasted Swamp Ash top and back.  The result is a body that’s beautiful, resonant, structurally stable, and shockingly light!  Either way, you’ll enjoy a superior instrument that's an absolute joy to play!

Why Roasted? 

Roasting the wood blanks prior to production enhances stability by reducing the moisture content down to around 7%.  The result is a more resonant body with added sustain, faster attack, and a broader harmonic footprint.  Roasting (or cooking) wood also reduces weight and enhances the visual depth of the woodgrain, accentuating the uniqueness of each body.

Important Notes

• Wood grain varies from body to body.  Your body may differ slightly from what is pictured.
• All bodies may require finish sanding to remove small dings and scratches from bare wood during production.  This is normal and not a defect.
• Due to how soft roasted paulownia is, some neck pockets may have slight chipping from the router bit during production.  This is normal, not a defect, and may require sanding or a filler to be used.
• To protect against the effects of moisture, we recommend sealing unfinished bodies prior to installation.
• Due do the lack of moisture in roasted woods, the risk for cracking is more apparent.  When drilling holes for screws, we recommend measuring inside and outside of the threads first to determine the correct drill bit to use.  Do not force screws into holes drilled with smaller drill bits.
