Model Overview

Göldo Top-Mount Trem Washers (MFG# TGDWS) are designed to raise top-mounted tremolo systems, like the Göldo G3, G5, and G7 tremolos, providing a practical solution for optimizing string angles and preventing hardware interference. These washers are especially useful when the break angle between the bridge and the tremolo's tension roller is too steep—causing the strings to contact the rear edge of the bridge. This contact can restrict smooth string movement during tremolo use, resulting in tuning instability or "sticking" strings. Additionally, on guitars with highly arched tops, portions of the tremolo unit may come into contact with the body, potentially damaging the finish. Installing Göldo Lift Washers helps elevate the tremolo unit slightly, preventing such contact and preserving the instrument’s top and lacquer.

The Göldo Top-Mount Trem Washer Set includes two 3mm and two 4mm washers, specifically designed to complement the appearance of Göldo tremolo systems while offering practical functionality.

For right-handed tremolo versions with an offset mounting lug, it’s essential to place a 4mm washer on the right (lever) side of the tremolo frame and a 3mm washer on the left. This ensures the tremolo sits level above the top, preventing any tilting.
Left-handed tremolo versions, which do not feature the offset lug, use two identical washers (either 3mm or 4mm), depending on your setup requirements.
