Vega-Trem

VegaTrem was born from the passion of guitarist, Isaac Vega , and his thousands of hours spent on stage. That background is the key to understand how VegaTrem projects emerge and mature, always with the spirit of a guitarist who loves both his job and his instrument.

Hailing from Spain, the fine people at Vegatrem sought to make the perfect trem that not only adds to the sleekness and supreme playability of a new instrument, but also retrofits onto virtually any 6-post trem route.

The patented VT system is based on two basic principles: the adaptation of the bridge dimensions to the existing standard cavity and optimization of the bridge pivoting system. Adapting the dimensions aims to allow the bridge to freely enter into the cavity of the guitar body by pulling the whammy bar back. This also added the benefit of ensuring the whammy bar won’t get in the way because it doesn't stick out from the body, as it usually does with other tremolos.

To optimize the movement of the bridge, the pivotal center of action has been changed by adding a fulcrum that replaced the traditional design that was supported by screws, giving more amplitude to movement and minimizing friction. The result is a musical performance totally free of unwanted noises. This can be even more enhanced if you use low friction nuts and locking tuners.

No Drilling

You're probably aware that traditionally, installing a floating bridge on an ST-style guitar required modifications such as drilling new holes and screwing into the original bridge cavity. This was true whether the Stratocaster in question was a vintage classic or a modern standard. If you have ever mounted, adjusted, or simply changed strings with any of the existing tremolos, you know it isn’t such an easy task.

The VT1 UltraTrem eliminates the need for alterations, as it fits seamlessly into the existing cavity without the need for drilling, sanding, or enlarging. All you need is a screwdriver and you can mount your VT1 UltraTrem in the blink of an eye. Check out this video to see exactly how easy we made it.
